STEVEN UNIVERSE RECLAIMED

I used to be a big fan of the show and then transitioned into a ball of flaming hatred. My SU critical blog went around pretty well before I deleted it. Most of my art consists of gem OCs and some ideas for reworking the canon into something that doesn't make me miserable to think about.

This isn't so much a project as an idea dump to cope with having watched the show and my expectations trampled upon and let down at almost every turn. It might get its own page eventually for me to dump my thoughts in on what all I would change if I could, because I can't and we live in the hell world of Rebecca Sugar's Steven Universe. Maybe it'd make for a nice PDF someday, because I sure as hell can't literally remake an entire show.

Changes:

• Entire gem species replaced/redesigned (Pearl, Aquamarine)
• Major character rewrites (Pearl) and changes in character focus
• Mainly it's an AU where they don't just keep abusing Steven for the hell of it and never owning up to the effect it has on him until a post movie season. There's more of an effort on the part of the gems to be less harmful to him or having to come to terms and change when they are hurting him.
